Haryana Gears Up for International Yoga Day 2025 with Powerful Message

Haryana is preparing for a grand celebration of International Yoga Day 2025 with the inspiring theme: “Yog Yukt, Nasha Mukt Haryana” — meaning “United by Yoga, Free from Addiction.” The main event will take place on June 21 at Brahma Sarovar in Kurukshetra, a spiritually significant site in India.

Swami Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna to Lead the Event

Renowned yoga icons Swami Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna will lead the celebrations, promoting yoga as a way to improve physical and mental health. Their presence is expected to draw massive crowds from across the state.

Also in attendance will be Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao, along with other top state officials.

Chief Minister’s Office Encourages Public Participation

The Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) has urged citizens to participate in large numbers and make Yoga Day a true people’s movement. In an official post, the CMO wrote:

“On June 21, during the State-Level event at Brahma Sarovar, Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini will be present as the chief guest. All citizens are invited to join in and celebrate this day like a festival.”

Swami Ramdev’s Call for Daily Yoga Practice

Ahead of the event, Swami Ramdev posted a heartfelt message on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), saying:

“Our body is the tool through which we fulfill our duties. A healthy body is essential for a meaningful life. Practicing yoga daily is the key. Let’s pledge on this International Yoga Day to make yoga a part of our daily lives and build a healthier India.”

A Dual Focus: Health and Social Change

This year’s Yoga Day message combines two powerful goals:

  • Promoting yoga as a daily habit
  • Raising awareness against drug addiction

The initiative aims to not only improve physical health but also bring positive lifestyle changes throughout Haryana, especially among the youth.

Community Involvement Across Haryana

Citizens from all age groups and walks of life are being invited to participate. Schools, colleges, government departments, and NGOs will also be part of the celebrations.

The campaign is expected to boost wellness, mental health, and drug-free living, setting a strong example for other states to follow.
